The World Health Organization warned Thursday that Ebola is spreading through the Democratic Republic of Congo faster than during any previous outbreak. In just two months, health officials have recorded more than 2,000 confirmed cases and 796 deaths.
Officials say three factors are complicating containment efforts: the rapid spread of the virus, a lack of an approved vaccine for this strain, and ongoing conflict in the region.
