A Ukrainian commander described the relentless pressure, stating it is "impossible to stop them, they’re everywhere." Russian attacks are intense. They have launched at least 50 assaults using elite units, armored vehicles, and even military motorcycles. Despite this, Ukrainian defenses in Pokrovsk remain intact. The situation is more critical near the city of Myrnohrad. There, key evacuation routes for civilians have collapsed. This makes it extremely difficult for people to escape the fighting. The battle for Pokrovsk is a major focus of Russia's new offensive in eastern Ukraine. Holding the city is crucial for Ukraine to prevent a broader Russian advance.
