Most burial orders have now been issued, clearing the way for the remains of nine Indonesians killed in a major Tai Po fire to be repatriated.
The Indonesian Consulate in Hong Kong confirmed the development on Thursday. It said a visiting delegation from Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs helped speed up the process.
The nine victims were among the dead and injured in a recent devastating blaze. They represent the largest group of non-Chinese casualties from the fire.
Authorities are now completing the final procedures to send the bodies back to Indonesia.
