Israel's Security Cabinet has approved a new settlement in the occupied West Bank, according to the country's finance minister. The minister stated that a total of 104 settlements and 160 farms have been authorized since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government took power in late 2022. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the occupied territories illegal under international law. This latest approval is expected to draw further criticism from the United Nations and other nations.
