Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, a key figure in Turkey’s main opposition party, has stated that he is given only three minutes to defend himself against each accusation in the legal cases targeting him. İmamoğlu, who has also voiced support for Özgür Özel, the elected head of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), said he will continue the fight for Turkey’s democratization and economic strengthening.
