Both Thailand and Cambodia are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a regional bloc. These calls follow Trump's recent trip to Asia. During the trip, he emphasized that all nations must help resolve the North Korea crisis. Thailand and Cambodia are among several Asian nations the U.S. is consulting.
