Ukraine and key Western allies announced on Monday a new air-defence coalition. The group will jointly develop an anti-ballistic missile system. This system aims to provide a cheaper alternative to the U.S. Patriot system, which is currently one of the most effective but expensive defences against Russian ballistic missiles.
