Workers are suffering burnout from “poorly executed” disciplinary investigations at work, costing the UK economy £28.5bn a year, public health doctors say. Badly handled disciplinary proceedings damage not only the staff involved, but also their colleagues and the organisation that employs them, according to the UK Faculty of Public Health (FPH). The FPH said such flawed cases should be treated as a threat to public health. *If you are struggling with work-related stress or mental health issues, support is available.
