A destructive insect dubbed the "hell larva" is causing chaos in Denmark, and an ecology professor warns it could soon establish itself in Sweden. Christer Björkman, an ecology professor, says the greatest risk comes from imported oak trees.
"With every tree we bring in, there is a probability that eggs come with it," Björkman explains.
The larva, known for its aggressive spread and damage to forests, has already disrupted ecosystems in Denmark. Swedish authorities are now monitoring imports closely to prevent an infestation.
