A senior expert says the recovery of energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz faces major challenges. Clara Gillespie, a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, told Bloomberg that producers are struggling to clear ships, bring in tankers, restart halted output, and repair damage to refineries, LNG facilities, and ports. Gillespie warned that the strait remains unstable, with shipping traffic still below prewar levels. She added that US pressure on Iran is complicating efforts to restore safe passage.
