A group calling itself the “Angry Birds Commando” has claimed responsibility for placing incendiary devices on a railway line between the German cities of Cologne and Düsseldorf. The group, described by authorities as left-wing, said it targeted the railroad to protest industrial technology, which it blames for environmental destruction.
