EU regulators raided the Dublin headquarters of online retailer Temu last week. The surprise inspection is part of an investigation into whether the company received unfair state subsidies from China.
A person familiar with the matter confirmed the raid on Wednesday. Temu, which is owned by Chinese e-commerce giant PDD Holdings, did not comment.
The action signals growing European Union concern over cheap Chinese imports. A customs waiver has allowed a flood of low-priced e-commerce parcels into the bloc. EU officials are examining if state support lets companies like Temu sell at artificially low prices.
