Iceland will not compete in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest. The country's public broadcaster announced the decision on Wednesday.
It is the fifth nation to boycott the event. The protest targets Eurovision organizers for allowing Israel to participate.
The boycotting countries want Israel excluded because of its military actions in Gaza. Eurovision's governing body has declined to ban Israel from the song competition.
The 2026 contest will be held in Austria.
