A leading think tank reports that Ukraine is rapidly adapting its military tactics by targeting Russian seaborne fuel shipments, effectively opening a new phase in the isolation of occupied Crimea. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that these strikes on gasoline tankers demonstrate Kyiv’s ability to shift focus after land routes to the peninsula were degraded. The attacks aim to disrupt Russian supply lines and further cut off Crimea from essential fuel deliveries.
