Former UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has started a new role in the world of venture capital. He is now a partner at Hiro Capital, a London-based firm that invests in video game and technology companies. Clegg will work alongside Sir Nick Button-Brown, a gaming industry veteran. He will also collaborate with Meta’s chief AI scientist, Yann LeCun, who serves as the firm’s "Venture Partner in AI." Hiro Capital focuses on funding companies in gaming, esports, and digital fitness. Clegg stated his goal is to help European tech founders grow their businesses. Before this, Clegg was Meta’s President of Global Affairs for over five years. He also served as the UK’s Deputy Prime Minister from 2010 to 2015. The move marks a significant shift from politics and social media policy to the business of gaming and interactive technology.
