A Turkish opposition lawmaker has visited individuals detained during recent protests linked to NATO exercises, alleging authorities labeled them "potential protesters" in official records. CHP deputy Utku Çakırözer reported the claim after meeting the detainees.
Separately, Semra Demir, a lawyer and member of the Contemporary Lawyers Association, stated that inmates in the prison are being denied access to newspapers and radio broadcasts. Demir made the remarks during the same visit.
The developments highlight ongoing tensions over detention practices and media restrictions in Turkish prisons.
