Explosions rocked the Syrian capital Damascus on Tuesday, wounding at least 18 people, as French President Emmanuel Macron was visiting the city. Macron’s office confirmed that the president was safe and that his scheduled meeting with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa would proceed as planned. The cause of the blasts remains unclear.
