Emmy Award-winning journalist Tony Dokoupil will become the next anchor of the "CBS Evening News."
His first broadcast is scheduled for January 5, 2026.
Dokoupil is currently a co-host of the network's morning news program, "CBS Mornings." He has reported on major national stories for over a decade.
The anchor chair has been filled on an interim basis since Norah O'Donnell left the role in December 2023.
