Ukrainian long-range drones struck two major Russian targets overnight, officials confirmed. The attacks targeted the Omsk oil refinery in Siberia and the Kursk nuclear power station near the Ukrainian border.
The Omsk refinery, one of Russia's largest, processes crude oil for fuel and industrial use. Ukrainian sources said the strike aimed to disrupt Russian energy supplies. The Kursk nuclear plant, a critical power facility, was also hit. Russian officials reported no radiation leaks or major damage to the reactor.
The attacks mark a significant escalation in Ukraine's ability to strike deep inside Russian territory. Both sides continue to exchange long-range strikes as the war enters its third year.
