South Korea has signed a major agreement to export tanks and armored vehicles to Peru. The deal marks a significant expansion of Seoul's global defense sales.
A South Korean media report states that Hyundai Rotem, a defense company, will partner with Peru’s Army Weapons and Ammunition Factory. The partnership will deliver 54 K2 Black Panther main battle tanks and 141 K808 wheeled armored vehicles.
The K2 tank is one of South Korea's most advanced military vehicles. The K808 is a versatile armored vehicle used for troop transport and combat.
This agreement strengthens military ties between the two nations. It is also a key win for South Korea's growing defense export industry, which now competes with traditional suppliers like the United States and Russia.
