WARSAW – Poland's foreign minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, has issued a direct warning to Moscow, saying NATO's upcoming summit will send a clear message of unity to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Speaking amid reports that the Kremlin may be seeking a pretext for a confrontation with a NATO member state, Sikorski stated: "We know what you're planning. Don't do it."
The minister did not provide specific evidence for the claims but said the alliance's response would be coordinated and firm. The summit, scheduled for next month, is expected to reaffirm NATO's collective defense commitment.
Sikorski’s comments come as tensions between Russia and the West remain high over the war in Ukraine. The Polish official stressed that any attempt to provoke a NATO country would be met with a unified and decisive reaction from the alliance's 32 members.
