DéLana R.A. Dameron, an award-winning writer who explored the Black Southern experience, has died. She was 40. Dameron was a celebrated poet and fiction author. Her work earned critical praise for its vivid storytelling. Beyond her literary life, Dameron was also a dedicated equestrian.
