The Norwegian government today announced new measures to protect the wild reindeer population on the Hardangervidda plateau. As part of the plan, the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) will immediately close two more tourist cabins, Lågaros and Hadlaskard. The closures aim to reduce human disturbance in critical reindeer habitats.
