Chinese companies are pushing for dialogue to resolve growing trade tensions with the European Union, according to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The business group, which represents Chinese firms, said on Wednesday that open communication is the best way to handle disagreements over market access and tariffs. The call comes as Brussels considers new trade measures against Chinese exports, including electric vehicles. The CCPIT warned that escalating disputes could hurt both economies and urged both sides to avoid a trade war.
