Hong Kong’s country parks have serious maintenance problems that put visitors at risk, the city’s ombudsman said Monday. The report found “deficiencies” in monitoring, slow repairs, and poor information for hikers.
The Office of the Ombudsman urged the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) to overhaul how it manages park facilities. It made 42 recommendations to fix the issues. The AFCD accepted all of them.
