The European Union’s top foreign policy official says Israeli actions are weakening the possibility of a two-state solution. Kaja Kallas, the EU’s foreign policy chief, also called Türkiye an “indispensable” partner for Europe on defense, migration, and regional stability.
In an interview with the Turkish state news agency Anadolu, Kallas stated that Europe strongly supports the Palestinian people. She argued that certain Israeli policies undermine the goal of creating a separate Palestinian state alongside Israel.
Kallas did not specify which Israeli actions she meant. However, her comments reflect growing European concern over the conflict’s long-term political outcome.
She also highlighted Türkiye’s role as a crucial ally for the EU. Kallas described Ankara as a key player in managing migration flows and maintaining security in the region.
The remarks come as international mediators push for a ceasefire in Gaza. The EU continues to advocate for a negotiated peace based on a two-state framework.
