Two young sisters hid and witnessed a deadly home invasion at a remote Utah cabin. The attack left their mother and grandmother dead and their father seriously wounded.
The incident occurred late Saturday night in Sanpete County. The girls, aged 9 and 11, were staying with their parents and grandmother. An unidentified male suspect forced his way into the cabin and opened fire.
The sisters avoided injury by hiding during the violence. Their 51-year-old mother and 71-year-old grandmother were killed at the scene. Their 52-year-old father was shot multiple times but managed to call 911. He was flown to a hospital and is expected to survive.
Law enforcement has released no information about a potential motive or suspect. The investigation is ongoing. The girls are now with other family members.
