Indonesia’s government has introduced a new farming system designed to boost rice production. Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman stated that the "Modern Agriculture-Advanced Agriculture System" (PM-AAS) could increase rice productivity to as much as 12.4 tons per hectare. This target is significantly higher than current national averages. The system focuses on modern techniques and advanced technology to improve yields.
