PARIS. Record after record has fallen as a brutal heatwave sweeps across Europe. France has registered its highest average daily temperatures ever measured. At the same time, the number of heart attacks and other acute health emergencies in the country has multiplied. Now, French labor unions are demanding a law that sets a maximum temperature for workplaces.
