The agency asserts that the action breached the legal privileges and immunities granted to UN premises. These protections, outlined in a 1946 UN convention, are designed to ensure the global body can operate independently. UNRWA states the raid on its compound occurred on Thursday. Israeli authorities have not yet issued a public response to the specific allegations. The police stated the operation targeted a "suspected terrorist infrastructure" inside the facility.
