As Europe suffers under a relentless heatwave, scientists say human-caused climate change is "unequivocally" responsible for its extreme intensity. The same heatwave would have been 3.5°C cooler during the day if it had occurred in June 1976. Even compared to the deadly 2003 heatwave—which killed tens of thousands across Europe—the current episode is notably more severe. FRANCE 24's Kethevane Gorjestani reports on why.
