Senegal Expands Digital Health Insurance to Reach Universal Coverage

Senegal is accelerating the digitalization of its national health insurance system. This move aims to achieve universal and equitable healthcare access across the country. Notably, more than 70% of those insured are women, many living in rural areas. The government has now set a new target. It plans to extend coverage to 75% of Senegalese citizens by 2029.
