More than 500 Malawian citizens are stranded in Johannesburg after buses hired to take them home lacked proper permits. The seven buses, which had picked up passengers in Cape Town and Durban, dropped them off at the Malawian consulate in Sandton instead of continuing the journey to Malawi. The repatriation effort was halted by South African authorities due to missing documentation, leaving the group without transport or accommodation. Officials are working to resolve the permit issue and arrange alternative travel.
