Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele said Nigeria’s electoral system is evolving and improving, after casting his vote in the Ekiti State governorship election.
Speaking to reporters in Iyin-Ekiti, Bamidele noted a high level of compliance with electoral rules. “Today, people are more aware of what constitutes electoral offences and the consequences such violations carry for both political parties and individuals,” he said.
The senator voted at Ward 2, Unit 003 in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area. The election, tagged #EkitiDecides2026, is ongoing.
