After two wars in less than a year, the United States and Iran have returned to nuclear diplomacy—and experts say they are back where they started.
A memorandum of understanding signed Wednesday by President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian opens the door for new negotiations.
Non-proliferation experts say these talks will largely pick up the same diplomatic track that Washington abandoned in February.
That earlier effort was built on mediation by Oman, as part of a wider Gulf diplomatic push.
