At least 15 people have been killed in an Israeli attack on southern Lebanon, according to a state-run Lebanese news agency reported by Reuters.
Israel’s military said it struck several targets linked to the militant group Hezbollah overnight, calling the infrastructure a violation of the ceasefire.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated on Telegram that the strikes followed "multiple breaches" of the truce. The IDF also reported that four Israeli soldiers have been killed in southern Lebanon since the ceasefire agreement was signed.
The attack comes after the United States and Iran signed a deal earlier this week aimed at ending the war. However, Israel did not join that agreement. On Thursday, it was also revealed that the U.S. and Iran will not meet in Switzerland for a formal signing ceremony as previously planned.
