The war in the Middle East is ending in Iran’s favor, according to Vali Nasr, a former adviser to the US State Department.
In an interview with FRANCE 24, Nasr—now a professor of Middle East studies at Johns Hopkins University—said the outcome is “definitely not favourable to Israel.”
“It's very difficult not to see this as a major setback for the United States and a major gain for Iran,” Nasr said.
He added that the Islamic Republic is emerging from the conflict “more confident, more self-assured and stronger” than before, both at home and in the region.
