UK PM: Russia-linked arsonists target our democracy

Two men with links to Russia were found guilty of plotting arson attacks on property linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The prime minister said the case proves the UK is under attack from bad actors who seek to “exploit division” and “destabilise our democracy.” Roman Lavrynovych, 22, from Ukraine, and Stanislav Carpiuc, 27, from Romania, were convicted on Monday of conspiring to carry out arson attacks. They appear to have taken orders from an online handler with ties to Russia. Starmer urged the country to resist those who try to turn people against each other. The trial highlights growing concerns over foreign interference in the UK.
