Rosneft caps fuel sales at 90 liters after Ukraine strikes hit refineries
Russia’s largest oil company, Rosneft, has stopped selling gasoline in canisters across the country. The company now limits each driver to a maximum of 90 liters per fill-up. Rosneft blames the restriction on “seasonal demand,” but the move follows a series of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries. Those attacks have reduced fuel production capacity in several regions. The ban on canister sales aims to prevent bulk buying and hoarding. Drivers can still fill their vehicle tanks, but only up to the 90-liter limit. Industry analysts say the measure signals growing fuel supply pressure. The strikes have hit at least a dozen refineries since January, cutting output of gasoline and diesel.
