Thousands of Lebanese civilians are driving back to their homes in southern Lebanon, even as new Israeli strikes hit the region. The returns come despite a US-brokered peace deal between the United States and Israel, and warnings from the Lebanese government to stay away.
Many residents say they are desperate to return, but remain skeptical about the safety of their villages. France 24 correspondent Renée Davis reports from Beirut that the situation remains tense. The Israeli military has not commented on the latest strikes.
