President Prabowo Subianto has asked Germany to actively support the finalization of the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA). The request was made during a bilateral meeting, as reported by Indonesian state news agency Antara. The trade deal aims to reduce tariffs and boost economic cooperation between Indonesia and the 27-nation European Union. Germany, as the EU's largest economy, holds significant influence in the bloc's trade negotiations. Prabowo's call for German backing signals Indonesia's push to accelerate the agreement's completion.
