Anti-Trump protests in Geneva: "Do not negotiate with such a man"

GENEVA — Thousands of protesters gathered at the shore of Lake Geneva on Thursday, one day before the start of the G7 summit in nearby Évian. Many carried signs and wore T-shirts reading "Fuck Trump." Organizers said at least 20,000 people joined the demonstration. One protester, 53-year-old Karine, said: "Our governments are trying to please Trump. But you should not negotiate with a man like that, who only thinks of himself." The protest was directed against U.S. President Donald Trump, who is set to meet leaders from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom at the summit. Security in the region has been tightened ahead of the talks.
