Russian forces launched a combined missile and drone attack on the central Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk overnight, the city's mayor confirmed on Monday. The assault targeted the industrial city's infrastructure.
The attack occurred while international diplomatic efforts, led by the United States, continue to seek a path to peace. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
Kremenchuk is a significant industrial hub, home to Ukraine's largest oil refinery and other critical factories. The city has been repeatedly struck since Russia's full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
