Müslüm Sarı: Resignations Not a Problem for CHP, Says Party Official

A senior official in Turkey’s main opposition party has dismissed calls for change following a wave of resignations. Müslüm Sarı, a member of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), stated that the resignations are not a matter for the party to address. Speaking on the issue, Sarı said it is legally impossible for the Party Assembly to stop working or be considered defunct because of the resignations. He also rejected the idea that this process could lead to an extraordinary party congress.
