A top media executive on trial in Istanbul has made a serious allegation against police officers. Fatoş Pınar Türker, the General Manager of Medya AŞ, claims that during her detention, an officer told her to “open your genitals.”
Türker is currently standing trial in a case related to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). She has been in custody since her arrest. The allegation was made on the 47th day of her trial, during her full defense statement.
The court has not yet ruled on the claim. The case continues to draw attention due to the severity of the accusation and the high-profile nature of the defendant.
