President Javier Milei welcomed the arrival of Argentina's first six F-16 fighter jets on Saturday. The government purchased the used, supersonic aircraft from Denmark.
Milei stated the jets will "considerably strengthen" the nation's air force. His administration agreed to buy a total of 24 of the U.S.-made fighters last year.
The F-16 is a versatile, multi-role fighter jet capable of speeds exceeding the speed of sound. This acquisition marks a significant modernization of Argentina's aging military fleet.
