Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a "very substantive and constructive" call with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Saturday. The American delegation is discussing a U.S.-led plan to end the conflict in Ukraine.
The call took place as a third day of negotiations was set to begin in Florida. Zelensky stated that Ukraine is committed to working with the American side to achieve a genuine peace.
"We agreed on the next steps and the format of the talks with America," Zelensky wrote on the Telegram messaging app. He did not provide specific details about the agreements or the proposed peace plan.
The discussions are part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the war.
