A Russian drone attack has damaged a nuclear fuel storage facility in the Chornobyl exclusion zone, Ukrainian officials reported. The strike targeted the area surrounding the decommissioned nuclear plant, which still holds radioactive material.
In a separate operation, Ukrainian Special Forces struck a fuel depot and a maritime terminal in occupied Crimea. The attack is part of what Ukraine describes as an "asymmetric" campaign, meaning it uses unconventional tactics to counter a larger enemy force. The goal is to disrupt Russian military supply lines and logistics.
No immediate casualties were reported from either strike. The incidents mark the 1,565th day of the ongoing war.
