Hollywood Actor Lorenzo Lamas Backs Republican Challenger in California Governor Race

Actor Lorenzo Lamas has endorsed a Republican candidate for California's governor. He is supporting a challenger who promises strong support for law enforcement. Lamas, known for roles in "Falcon Crest" and "Renegade," criticized current Governor Gavin Newsom. He said the Newsom administration has had a "devastating" impact on the state. The endorsement highlights a cultural divide in California politics. It brings celebrity influence to a race where public safety and state leadership are key issues. The Republican candidate aims to unseat Newsom in the upcoming election. Newsom, a Democrat, has not yet publicly responded to this endorsement.
