A recent private diplomatic mission has revealed a significant divide between Ukraine and former US President Donald Trump’s advisors over a proposed peace plan.
The talks, led by US real estate executives Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner, took place in Miami with Ukrainian officials. Kyiv firmly rejected core elements of the plan, according to a report by James Davis.
Following the difficult discussions with Ukraine, the American delegation met with Russian President Vladimir Putin for five hours. The meeting with Putin yielded only cautious progress, highlighting the challenges in bridging the gaps between the warring parties.
